For quite some time, the cloud version of Qlik Sense has been equipped with smaller new features independently of the larger product releases. Therefore there are also some innovations in the area of alarms in Qlik Sense SaaS.
It is not always easy to keep an overview of all company data and the corresponding data analyses. Qlik Sense offers the possibility to quickly identify special features and anomalies in data with alarms, without opening up the app specifically for this purpose. Certain criteria can be defined for data monitoring (based on measures or dimensions). If those are met, the user receives a notification with a preview of the relevant data.
More overview by new alarm functions
A new function offers the possibility to identify alerting trends easily and quickly in the hub by displaying the alert history in chart form. In this way, patterns can be identified by data alerts, which are recognizable from the frequency of scans and triggered alerts.
For some time now, it has also been possible to set up personal digests for notifications. Users can specify if they want to receive a daily e-mail digest of all relevant notifications for certain alerts and system events. The desired alerts and event types can be selected, the delivery period can be changed and direct links to live analytics can be added for follow-up.
Also recently added are new data alert notifications if an alert has stopped, failed or a user has been added to an alert. In addition, users can now list and edit their own alarms within the Qlik Sense app. This optimizes the visibility of data alarms created in the context of the app and encourages their use.
