Business Central fall release: Enhancements in Teams Integration

Smooth interaction between the programs used can save a lot of time and effort in a company and increase productivity. Microsoft therefore also attaches great importance to networking its various business applications as efficiently as possible and is constantly adding new functionalities to the integration of Dynamics 365 Business Central and Microsoft Teams.

For some time now, it has been possible to link the two applications directly with each other to work together in Business Central within Teams without having to switch to the application. In this way, business data can be easily shared with the team, contacts can be accessed directly and requests can be responded to more quickly.

With the recently released version of Business Central, the integration with Microsoft Teams is again extended with some small innovations. For example, improved search term functions such as multiple word searches and special characters for looking up contacts are now available.

In addition, the current version offers two new options for sharing data between Business Central and Teams. On the one hand, a new AL API is now available for sharing files in Microsoft 365.

Moreover, data can now be shared via a record link. With this feature, messages can be entered, entities such as team members, groups or channels can be selected and the message can be sent to the respective recipients with a link to the corresponding Business Central data record.
