Nowadays, artificial intelligence can be found in every conceivable area of life – especially in the business world. In this context, the first AI functions were also established in Dynamics 365 Business Central with Microsoft Copilot. These were recently expanded to include the option of creating sales lines using Copilot.
Microsoft Copilot is an AI-driven assistant for using Business Central that can increase productivity when working with the application. With the 2024 spring release, Business Central has been equipped with some additional Copilot features. The new features also improve the processes for sales documents. In future, Copilot will speed up the creation of sales documents by suggesting sales lines (e.g. order lines) based on natural language. In this way, the time spent on repetitive tasks and search processes can be significantly minimized.
Copilot accepts various input methods (e.g. free text, files or pre-built “prompts”), processes the respective inputs and finally uses them to create corresponding sales lines. This new Copilot function increases efficiency in the creation and management of sales documents and thus also contributes to a potential increase in turnover, as the sales documents can be sent and paid for more quickly.
Save time and increase efficiency with Copilot
Microsoft Copilot can thus make suggestions for sales lines in Business Central and help with the creation of sales documents (e.g. sales quotes, sales orders and sales invoices) – based on a structured input or a query in natural language. This support can reduce manual data entry and increase operational efficiency.
Versatile input methods: Copilot accepts various input methods, including free text, files or pre-built prompt suggestions. This flexibility allows you to interact with Business Central in different ways, further increasing efficiency.
Intelligent processing: Through advanced AI capabilities, Copilot understands the input provided and suggests sales lines based on it. This intelligent processing eliminates the need for manual data entry, reducing the likelihood of errors and saving time. In addition, Copilot can suggest sales lines depending on the customers previous purchasing activities.
In the current preview version, the new feature only works with the “Item” line type and is currently only available in English.
