For the most comprehensive analyses and visually appealing visualizations possible, Qlik is continuously expanding and optimizing the design options in Qlik Sense Cloud.
In recent weeks, Qlik Sense Cloud has therefore once again improved the design options in various charts as well as the general user-friendliness.
Improvements to the layout container
It is now possible to enlarge or reduce the frame in the layout container without changing the objects. All you have to do is hold the Shift key while resizing the layout container. Charts are now also highlighted in the container when the chart is selected in the list in the property panel.
General design of bundled charts
The remaining charts in the visualization and dashboard bundle will receive a general design regarding the font styling of titles, the background color and the image options as well as the border and shadow settings.
The following charts and objects are affected by this change: Multi-KPI chart, network chart, PL pivot table, radar chart, trellis chart, variance waterfall chart, word cloud chart, animation, date range picker, variable input control and video player.
New features for sheet navigation, interaction and the asset panel
Sheets and the asset panel received three helpful optimizations. The sheet navigation has been integrated into the left asset panel for easier use – alongside bookmarks and notes. The grouping of sheets also makes it easier to organize and find them. In addition, the asset panel has been pinned to the left and enlarged for greater readability and flexibility.
Context menu for visualizations
In addition, a new context menu toggle for visualizations has been introduced in Qlik Cloud. This optimizes app customization and user experience by providing more control over the visibility of the context menu within app properties.
Optimized combo chart
The combo chart has also been improved. The option to display labels on stacked measure segments and a setting for switching the grid have been added.
Printing, subscribing, snapshots and monitoring with the new pivot table
The new pivot table now also supports image and PDF downloads as well as snapshots, subscriptions and monitoring. The tables will be introduced gradually together with new functions and will soon be transferred from the visualization bundle to the native chart section.
